In the Name of God amen -- I Philip Gless of the County of Guilford and
Provence of North Carolina found being sick and in a low condition of body tho of
sound and perfect memory thanks be to God for the same but calling to mind the
mortality of my body that it is apointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this
my last will and testament hereby revoking and disabling all other wills and testaments
deeming this only as my last will and testament.

I recomend my body to the dust and my Soul to God who gave it -- my body
to be buried in a christen maner at ye discretion of my Executors; and as touching
to what worldly estate it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of it the following [?]

First after my funeral charges and all my just debts is paid I leave
and bequeth to my son George Gless the tract of land with the mill wheron the síd
George now livith containing 260 acres

Item - I leave and bequeth to my son Powel Gless the tract of land whereon
the sd Powel now liveth containing 160 acres

Item I bequeth to my grandson George Gless son of Christen Gless decesed one
tract of land on Alemance containing 200 acres formerly inhabited by Christen Gless.

Item - I bequeth to my daugther Catren wife of Jacob Coble thirty pounds
curency out of a bond from my son George to me dated Feb 17th, 1773.

Item - I bequeth to my daughter Barbrey thirty pounds curency out of the aforesíd bond

Item - I bequeth to my daughter Mary wife to Tobies Clap thirty pounds currency
out of the aforesd bond all to be paid when síd bond becomes due.

Item - I bequeth to my daughter-Inlaw Philpenah Gless widow of Christen
Gless the sum of two shillings curence

Item - I bequeth to my wife Mary Glass all the ready money I now have and
one bay mare called Hutch and one brown horse named Jack and two cows, and to have
a free and feaseble poretian of my dwelling house so long as she shall live.

Item - I bequeth to my son Philip all the remainder of my estate real and
personal only reserving twenty bushels of wheat and one hundred waight of beef and ten pound of
sugar and one baril of [?] licquer fiveteen [?] of flax and twenty shilings in money
al to bee paid to my wife Mary yearly while she lives for her suport by my son Philip [?]
I constitue my Executor to execute this my last will and testement.

Thus written last will and testament of Philip Gliss, deced; was Juried in
open court by the oath of James Hunter one of the subscribing witness thereto
on motion ordered to be recorded -- There came in Philip Gliss the Executor [?]
by the said Test appointed Executor + qualifyied as such agreeable to law
